Business Excellence NZ exists to
  • help organisations to improve their performance and 
  • help people to improve the quality of their working and personal lives
Our VISION is to strengthen the performance of individuals and organisations and thus improve our communities both locally and internationally

Our MISSION is to help create excellent organisations by fostering the use of performance excellence principles through training and access to the Performance Excellence Study Awards (PESA) Programme

Our VALUES are founded on striving to live and work by the golden rule with honesty and humility. We are commited to earning the trust of everyone we engage with and we energetically seek to motivate organsiations to improve performance through exceptional training and access to all elements of the PESA programme.

Business Excellence New Zealand Limited was founded in 1996 by Errol Slyfield.  His extensive international experience in business management and organisational performance excellence includes: 

  • the management and development of the New Zealand Perfomance Excellence Study Awards programme since 1993
  • postings as New Zealand Trade Commissioner in London and in the Caribbean
  • marketing account management for large multinationals over six years in Sydney and Perth
  • delivering interactive performance excellence workshops to over 2000 business owners and operators under contract to the New Zealand government
  • studying over 50 BALDRIGE PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE PROGRAM recipients at their place of business in the USA under the PESA Study Visit programme
  • originating and managing regular visit programmes in New Zealand by Baldrige Performance Excellence Award recipients and examiners
  • serving as an examiner on international teams assessing performance for clients in India and Indonesia

Errol Slyfield has a BA and Diploma in Teaching and has studied business management and performance excellence through study visit programmes and while working in USA, UK, Australia, India, Indonesia, the Caribbean and New Zealand.

Business Excellence New Zealand involves selected highly qualified associates who subscribe to the Business Excellence NZ vision and values to deliver services both in NZ and internationally. Business Excellence NZ also has close links with senior leaders and managers of a wide range of businesses and federal and state quality award organisations in the USA.
